Kimonos and Frank and being cool

The Internet is ripe with weird clothing ideas. Most are trash, but some are cool, and if you aren’t averse to taking a leap or two, you too could be cool.

Ever since I heard Frank Ocean, he was considered cool. Apart from being a dope singer, he touched on subjects in a way other voices couldn’t, from a perspective other voices either don’t have or won’t admit to.

Kimonos are also cool. For awhile, these were simply Japanese robes inspired by Chinese clothing, which gained popularity in 5th century AD. More recently, the “Western world,” as Wikipedia calls it, started adapting the old fashioned garments into more casual cardigans, shirts and jackets.

A number of these adaptations are also cool, people like Kanye West and the aforementioned Frank Ocean have developed certain looks revolving around the very cool kimono.

But, no one does it quite like Frank. Whether it’s the full on robe, a shirt or the cardigan cut, Frank always looks so damn cool. Here are some snapshots of pure coolness:
